It is a root that is grated into a green paste and used as a condiment for raw seafood (sashimi) and sushi. However, it is also used in many other Japanese dishes. It has a strong, warm flavor that dissipates within seconds without leaving a burning taste in the mouth.
Product Description
No plate of sushi would be complete without a dollop of Yutaka Japanese Wasabi Paste, a relative of the horseradish. Fiery and spicy, wasabi paste is one of the main flavourings in Japanese food and is commonly served with sushi or sashimi.
Although not as harsh as horseradish, it’s still pretty fiery, so be careful not to use too much!
