Product Description
Genoese pesto is the condiment par excellence of Ligurian tradition.
The recipe is simple and precious at the same time: it is a raw sauce that preserves all the flavour of its ingredients. It is obtained by processing Genoese basil, pine nuts and garlic, all seasoned with Grana Padano, Parmigiano Reggiano, Pecorino cheeses and olive oil.
The first pesto dates back to Roman times, while the first official recipe dates back to the 19th century. Pesto is one of the most widespread condiments in Liguria.
