Pastificio Gaetano Faella, a success story spanning over 150 years

In its current location in Piazza Marconi, better known as Piazza S. Leone, the small company moved in 1907, later passing into the management of his son, Mario Faella, and to this day is run with the same passion, mastery, and dedication by his grandchildren. For three generations, Pastificio Faella has been synonymous with quality, authenticity, and flavor. With its centuries-old tradition, Faella represents the quintessential artisanal pasta of Gragnano.

Pasficiio Faella uses only 100% Italian durum wheat semolina, rigorously processed in bronze and slowly dried at low temperatures. Its production is made with selected blends of Italian durum wheat semolina, slow kneading with water from the Lattari Mountains, bronze extrusion, and traditional drying at very low temperatures (max.: 48°C) for a period that can reach 60 hours, resulting in a pasta with ideal consistency and unmistakable aroma and flavor.
Thanks to its long history, it has been granted recognition as a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) at the European level since October 2013. This distinction has allowed for greater visibility of the product in Europe and the world, without altering the production technique and the concept of quality that has always distinguished Pastificio Faella.

Maintaining tradition, Pasta Faella produces typical Gragnano shapes, such as Le Candele (which requires up to 60 hours of slow drying), and preserves biodiversity by using historic Italian grains, such as “Senator Cappelli,” which is used for a special spaghetti shape.
Pastificio Faella is proud to have received the prestigious WH Food Award 2024 at the Merano Festival for our “Spaghettoni di Gragnano IGP” pasta shape. This recognition celebrates the dedication and artisanal care we put into every detail, such as the selection of the finest Italian grains, the traditional bronze weaving technique, and slow drying at low temperatures. An award that recognizes the commitment and passion we dedicate to our work and honors the great tradition of Gragnano pasta.
