The Shiitake Mushroom is firm and slightly fleshy. Widely used throughout Southeast Asia in steamed dishes. These are richer in umami than any other mushroom.

For hundreds of years, shiitake mushrooms have been a popular food source in Asia. They’re the second most popular and the third most widely cultivated edible mushroom in the world.
They have a slightly smoky flavour and a very fleshy texture.
Being na excellent source of B-complex vitamins, anti-viral, antibacterial and antifungal properties, shiitake mushrooms have the power to fight cancer cells, cardiovascular disease and infections.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
Preparation Suggestion:
