Product Description
Add delicious and authentic Japanese flavour to your cooking without adding unwanted alcohol with this alcohol-free mirin. Mirin is a sweet, delicate fermented rice wine perfect for salads, teriyaki, yakitori and many other Japanese dishes. Mirin is also what gives teriyaki its lovely, mouth-watering shine! Commonly used in cooking, Mirin is also used in a ceremonial drink to celebrate the beginning of shogatsu,the Japanese new year. A special spice mixture is soaked in mirin to make the traditional drink toso.
Ingredients:
Glucose syrup, water, fermented rice alcohol (2%) (water, rice alcohol, salt, acodity regulator: citric acid, enzyme: rice malt), sugar, spirit vinegar, acidity regulator: citric acid, cane molasses.
Storage:
Store in a cool, dry and dark place. Once opened keep refrigerated and consume within 3 months.
Preparation Suggestion:
To make quick Chicken Teriyaki (Serves 2)
Mix 2tbsp Yutaka Soy Sauce and 2tbsp Yutaka Mirin (1:1) then marinate 2 chicken thighs in the sauce for 10 minutes. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken thighs until cooked through. Pour the rest of the sauce over the cooked chicken thighs and simmer until the sauce thickens. Serve with cooked rice and green salad.

Ideal for toning down strong tastes and odours, particularly those of fish and game meat. Adds a mild sweetness to dishes,
helps tenderize meat and adds luster and a nice glaze to dishes.
