Watermelon Granite

The fresh flavors of berries, citrus, melons and flowers come together beautifully in this delicious Watermelon Granita recipe. With rose water and pure lemon extract, this frozen treat is a great addition to any summer menu.

Preparation Method

  1. Spread the watermelon pieces on a plate in a single layer and freeze overnight.
  2. Pour about two-thirds of the rosé wine into ice cube molds and place in the freezer overnight. Place the remaining rosé wine in the fridge until ready to use.
  3. In a blender, mix the chilled rosé, frozen rosé, frozen watermelon, salt, lemon extract, rose water and 50 grams of sugar (to taste).
  4. Beat on high speed until smooth, adding more sugar if desired.
  5. You may need to wait a few minutes and let the frozen rosé thaw a little so it moves through the blender. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
